Little One adores books & story time, as we all do. As soon as she catches a glimpse of a new book, she is up on my lap, waiting for the magic to unfold.
'Little Grey Donkey', is a lovely, touching story about a little girl who visits her donkey friend everyday. Spoiling him with love and carrots, the little grey donkey grows fond of her. Then, one day she doesn't turn up. As time passes the little grey donkey worries about his special friend and so, faces his fears and sets of to look for her. He find her thanks to a kind boy who takes him to a poorly Serafina and the two friends are reunited.
The illustrations are vibrant and interesting. Little One loves to spot little grey donkey on each page and the white outline drawings found scattered through the book, are fantastic. Little One tells me what she thinks each one is, which helps to support her language skills. The detail in the images bring the story to life, and you can feel the love between the two friends. Such a feel-good, beautiful book - one we both recommend.
