IBM?s Augmented Reality App Exposes the Sugary Sins of Breakfast Cereal

As shoppers become more and more concerned with what they are putting into their bodies, the ritual of standing in the aisle staring at the ingredients of an item is common place in grocery stores. It doesn?t help that the ingredients are printed with a teeny tiny typeface.

To help combat shopping eye-fatigue, IBM is developing an augmented reality shopping app that speeds up the process of determining if a product meets a shoppers criteria of ingredients or features by displaying product information that?s relevant to their interests.
