How do the traitistics of an amino acid relate to the issue of tertiary and quaternary structure?
Best answer:
Answer by kabloomz
amino group and carboxylic group help protein in to bind with each other during several adhesion process like : vanderwall coerces etx. its their + &- ve nature which allow the protein to have such complex structures
The different traitistics of amino acids are determined by their side chains. The configurations of the side chains determine whether the carboxyl group is nonpolar, polar, acidic, or basic. The side chains can make an entire amino acid hydrophobic, hydrophilic, negatively charged, or positively charged. The traitistics of the side chain also determine what kind of reactions the amino acid will be able to have and what it can bond with. The type of chain that is formed due the traitistics of individual amino acids determines the type of structure that amino acids will form together to create a protein.
